Ideal Institute of Technology’s entrepreneurship program is designed for students who have that drive to create their own business. The course duration is six months and consists of 600 hours of essential and hands-on training for the chosen career path. The course covers fundamentals of business and strategy on how to grow a business, as well as profit, marketing, and legal liability for the business. At the end of the course, students will choose and develop a specific business they plan to pursue. The school will provide hands-on training in the student’s business choice.
What will I learn?
After completion of the entrepreneurship course you will be able to clearly identify the fundamentals of business and know the basic procedures to start any business. You will also have sound knowledge of different types of businesses and how business operates. You will have many hours of hands-on training and real life scenarios in your chosen field. - Having the right idea
- Existing business or build one from scratch
- Marketing of the business
- Daily business operations
- Bookkeeping and legal liabilities
- Profit margins and business management
- Special Trade training
The opportunities are endless for students to start their own business right after the course.
All candidates must be at least sixteen (16) years of age before enrolling. A high school diploma is required to enroll in course. Students who don’t have their high school diploma can register for our HSEAP (former GED) program and then start their entrepreneurship course. Students are required to successfully complete the course for a certificate of completion from the school.
A day in Business owner’s life:
Now comes the exciting part, as you could be doing any number of things. Now is the time you can start working in the field you always dreamed of. There are some basic routines that are expected of every business owner. For example, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the business, such as marketing and customer service. You will be responsible for consulting with customers and obtaining contracts for your company. You will hire and train new employees, make work schedules and prepare the company payroll. You will also schedule staff meetings with the intent to motivate employees and improve the work environment.
